GRIEF SUPPORT REFERRALS

Step 1

Identify a child or teen who may benefit from grief support services at Tomorrow's Rainbow. Support groups are free of charge and are available for children ages 3 years old through high school and their families after the death of a significant person in their life. Our model recognizes that most bereaved children, teens, and adults do not need therapy. Peer-facilitated support groups allow participants to share in an emotionally safe, fun setting while removing social isolation.

Step 2

Download the registration packet- print one for each child or teen in the family. Have the parent/guardian complete the paperwork. The family may need your assistance with faxing or scanning the application which may be sent via:

Fax: (754) 732-0994
Email: info@tomorrowsrainbow.org

Step 3

Once we receive the paperwork, the family will be contacted. If there is a therapist, the therapist will be required to clear the child/teen in writing prior to starting services.

Step 4

After the child/teen is cleared to start services, we will schedule their new family orientation. Orientation is offered once monthly on a Saturday at Tomorrow's Rainbow. You are welcome to attend alongside the family to learn more about our services and provide support.

Step 5

At orientation, the family will be assigned to a group based on the child's age & cause of death.

  1. Services for children in pre-K through elementary school (3-11 years old) are offered on Saturday morning, twice a month with a concurrent adult support group at the same time.

  2. Middle School & High School groups meet twice a month on a Wednesday evening.
